About the Director of Pagari Health, John Afable
As a skilled First Surgical Assistant and Theatre Practitioner with almost two decades of experience as a nursing professional, both in the UK and South East Asia, I know what is important to patient safety and excellence in the surgical journey.
Having practiced in both the UK's National Health Service and in Harley Street, I have honed my skills as a dedicated Theatre Practitioner across varied specialities, including orthopaedics, maxillofacial, plastics and reconstructive surgery, and organ retrieval and transplantation. I have extensive experience of renal laparoscopy and robotic surgery.
This background has equipped me with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, along with the capacity to adapt to the ever evolving healthcare environment.
About Pagari
Our name represents our pride in our heritage and mission. Pagari, also known as Inikadowa, is a mythological creature from the Philippines, the homeland of our director.
Philippine mythology has it that Pagari, the spirit bird, was able to provide others with the remarkable gift of healing, enabling them to provide care and support to those in need.
